  1. SUNDAY, MARCH 31, 2019 (ZURICH/LAKE LUCERNE)

    Includes: Dinner

    • Arrive to Zurich airport, meet your tour director and proceed to Lake Lucerne; on the way (time permitting), we will have an orientation drive of the Financial capital of Switzerland.
    • On arrival enjoy time at leisure in the heart of Lake Lucerne.
    • Tonight, a typical Swiss welcome dinner.

  2. MONDAY APRIL 1, 2019 (LAKE LUCERNE)

    Includes: Breakfast, Dinner

    • Breakfast, then a nice walk through this beautiful medieval town, surrounded by incredible high mountains. We will cross the Reuss River on the famous covered wooden “Chapel Bridge” which chronicles the old town with unique colored panels. Continue on with a visit to the Lion monument, built in honor of the Swiss guard Louis XVI.
    • Later, continue to explore or shop for Swiss watches and chocolate.
    • Prepare for a spectacular folkloristic fondue dinner and Yodel music in one of the oldest restaurants in town.

    • After breakfast, transfer by motor coach to Basel, where your river cruise vessel is docked.
    • Meet your crew at an evening welcome reception with drinks and live entertainment.

    • Breakfast, then head out for some adventures.
    • Situated on the border of France and Germany, Strasbourg blends the cultures of both countries in a delightful way.
    • Head out for a walking tour to visit the monumental red sandstone Gothic cathedral.
    • This afternoon, an excursion into the Alsace wine country is available.

  5. THURSDAY, APRIL 4, 2019 (MANNHEIM)

    • The charming town of Speyer is known to be one of the oldest town in Germany. It was founded by the ancient Romans in 10 B.C. You will enjoy a walking tour of the historical center, which is dominated by the cathedral.
    • After lunch, we will discover Heidelberg, home to Germany’s oldest university, founded in 1386. We will visit the ruins of Heidelberg Castle, (time and weather permitting) which towers magnificently over the city. It is among the most important Renaissance structures north of the Alps. This region features the famed Great Vat, the “World’s Largest Wine Barrel.” At nearly 23 feet high and 28 feet wide, it holds over 58,000 gallons of wine and has a dance floor on top of it!

  6. FRIDAY, APRIL 5, 2019 (KOBLENZ)

    • This morning, dock in the scenic Rüdesheim, a typical Rhine Valley wine town. Visit Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum to see and hear a large collection of self-playing calliopes and music boxes from the 18th to the early 20th centuries.
    • Downstream from Rüdesheim is the dramatic Rhine Gorge, the most beautiful stretch of river. Here, ancient castles stand sentry on lofty cliffs rising 400 feet above the water.
    • Cruise past the legendary rock of the Lorelei, where echoes of enchanted siren song lured sailors to their doom. Then, arrive at the place where the Rhine and Moselle Rivers meet—the Deutsches Eck (German Corner) with its impressive statue of German Emperor William I.
    • Join your Local Guide for a WALKING TOUR of 2,000-year-old Koblenz, which reveals an eventful past through its castles, fortress walls, towers, squares, and monuments.

  7. SATURDAY, APRIL 6, 2019 (COCHEM)

    • This morning, we visit the charming town of Cochem. We will enjoy a walking tour and admire the wonderful churches and castle of this town, once known to be an Imperial Estate.
    • In the afternoon, we will indulge in some local wine.

  8. SUNDAY, APRIL 7, 2019 (COLOGNE)

    Includes: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

    • Cologne is one of Germany’s largest cities and capital of the Rhineland. It straddles both sides of the Rhine, and is known for its soaring, twin-steeped Gothic cathedral.
    • Choose between an included guided city walking tour or Jewish Heritage walk.
    • The Old Town abounds with cafés, shops, and taverns. Be sure to try a Kölsch pale lager, locally brewed in Cologne for over a hundred years.
    • Tonight, fun times at the Captain’s Dinner Gala.

  9. MONDAY APRIL 8, 2019 (AMSTERDAM)

    • Today, we will discover the north part of the Netherlands with a visit to the fishing village of Volendam.
    • After lunch, take a motor coach to Amsterdam! Holland’s sophisticated, modern capital has a rich and fascinating history. There is no better way to see Amsterdam than by canal boat, cruising alongside stately homes dating back to Amsterdam’s “Golden Age.”
    • Enjoy the remainder of the time at leisure, then rejoin the ship for dinner.
