  1. Paris

    • Today we arrive in Paris where a Wherever Tours guide will be waiting to greet you. Transfer by private coach to your beautiful 4-star hotel.
    • This evening, enjoy a welcome reception dinner as we admire the city of lights.
  2. Versailles, Chartres, Paris

    • After breakfast, travel to Versailles and Chartres where we will visit many local sites, including the beautiful Palace of Versailles and the exquisite Cathedral of Chartres.
    • This evening, return to Paris for dinner and wine in a lovely restaurant.
  3. Paris

    • This morning, enjoy petit dejeuner (breakfast) as we prepare for a private tour of Paris. Visit sites througout the city, including Sacre Coeur, the Miraculous Medal Shrine, and the Shrine of St. Vincent de Paul.
    • Following lunch, the afternoon and evening will be at your leisure.
    • Optional excursions: an afternoon trip to the Eiffel Tower; an evening dinner cruise on the Seine River.
  4. Paris, Rouen, Lisieux, Caen

    • After breakfast, we leave for Normandy, stopping along the way in Rouen and Lisieux, including a visit to the Basilica of St. Thérèse.
    • We will arrive in Caen to relax and enjoy the wine and local flavors during dinner.
  5. Normandy, Caen

    • After breakfast and Sunday Mass, explore the many museums and memorials in the heart of the landing, including Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery.
  6. Caen, Mont Saint Michel, Saint Malo

    • This morning we go to Mont Saint Michel, a UNESCO world heritage site and the most photographed place in the world. Upon arrival, relax and enjoy some free time to explore the small-town peninsula and have lunch at your leisure.
    • In the afternoon, a short drive brings us to Saint Malo in time to take in the views of the North Sea before enjoying dinner.
  7. Saint Malo, Nantes, Bordeaux

    • After breakfast, we leave for the southern region of France.
    • We will make stops in Nantes, have lunch and a tour of a winery and distillery in Cognac, and arrive in Bordeaux by late afternoon.
  8. Bordeaux, Lourdes

    • After breakfast, enjoy some free time in Bordeaux and visit one of the most prestigious wine cellars in the area for a tour and tasting.
    • Following lunch at your leisure, we drive to Lourdes, in the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains.
    • After check-in at our hotel in Lourdes, a delicious dinner concludes the day.
  9. Lourdes

    • Today will be spent in Lourdes at the Sanctuary Shrine. We will see the Grotto, experience processions, and have the opportunity for private prayer.
    • This evening following dinner you may join in and experience the candlelight procession.
  10. Lourdes, San Sebastian, Bilbao (Oviedo)

    • After breakfast, say au revoir to France and Buenos dias to Spain as we head to Bilbao.
    • Stop in San Sebastian for lunch on your own and some free time to explore this beautiful seaside town.
    • Arrive in Bilbao in time for a tour of the city and dinner.
  11. Bilbao, Santiago de Compostela

    • After desayuno (breakfast), travel along the scenic north coast of Spain to Santiago de Compostela, the town where Saint James the Great was buried and where the famous camino to Santiago ends.
    • Visit the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela and more of this holy city and surrounding area.
    • End the day at our hotel with a relaxing meal.
  12. Santiago de Compostela, Lisbon

    • After breakfast and Sunday Mass, we continue south towards Portugal, with a stop in Porto for lunch and some of the region’s famous wine.
    • After a relaxed visit, complete our journey to Lisbon, Portugal’s capital, where we will check into our hotel and spend the evening at leisure.
    • Optional: dinner tour
  13. Fatima, Lisbon

    • Following an early breakfast, travel to Fatima to spend the day. Visit the Sanctuary where the Virgin Mary appeared in 1917 before returning to Lisbon for a tour of the city.
    • Tonight we will enjoy a fantastic Portuguese meal with folklore, music, and wine to say adeus, adieu, and adios! A perfect ending to our amazing adventure.
  14. Depature

    • Bid farewell to your travel companions as we transfer to Lisbon airport and begin our journey home.

  1. Naples

    • Arrive in Naples airport and meet a Wherever Tours representative to help you collect your luggage.
    • Board a private coach and take an orientation tour of the city.
    • Stop off at the largest piazza in Naples, Piazza del Plebiscito, for Mass at the Basilica of San Francesco da Paola.
    • Check into the hotel in Sorrento and prepare for your welcome dinner.
  2. Mugnano del Cardinale, Pompeii

    • Enjoy breakfast, then head for Mugnano del Cardinale where you will find the body of the miracle worker, St. Philomena. Attend Mass at the Sanctuary.
    • Afterwards, drive to Pompeii for a guided walking tour of the ancient Roman town buried by the ash of the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D.
    • Visit the local winery for a Lacryma Christi wine tasting and dinner on Mt. Vesuvius.
    • Return to the hotel and spend the rest of the evening at your leisure.
  3. Montecassino, San Giovanni Rotondo

    • After a leisurely breakfast, continue to San Giovanni Rotondo.
    • Along the way, we stop to celebrate Mass at the famous Abbey at Montecassino. The Cassino Abbey, which houses the tomb of St. Benedict was heavily damaged by allied bombers during World War II.
    • Visit the museum and explore the history of the most famous Abbey in the world.
    • Later, arrive at San Giovanni Rotondo to check into the hotel.
    • Enjoy some leisure time before dinner..
  4. San Giovanni Rotondo, Monte Sant’Angelo

    • This morning, travel to San Giovanni Rotondo and Church of St. Pio of Pietrelcina (Padre Pio). We’ll have Mass and see the “cell” where Padre Pio lived and prayed the later years of his life and where he died in 1968.
    • Walk the “Way of the Cross” at Via Crucis Monumentale. Pray and meditate among the beautiful views of these sacred grounds.
    • Afterwards, leave for Monte Sant’Angelo and the Sanctuary of St. Michael the Archangel. This is the site where St. Michael interceded to defeat invading pagans back in the 5th century.
    • Return to hotel and prepare for dinner.
  5. Lanciano, Manoppello

    • Leave for Loreto after breakfast.
    • Along the way, stop in Lanciano to visit the Church of St. Francis (Miracle of the Eucharist). This church was built in 1258 and houses the artifacts of the Eucharistic Miracle that occurred in the 8th century.
    • Celebrate Mass in Manoppello at the Basilica del Volto Santo. Behind the altar is a delicate piece of fabric with an image of Jesus’ face.
    • Arrive in Loreto for hotel check-in and dinner.
  6. Loreto, Assisi

    • Breakfast, then leave for Mass at the Sanctuary of the Holy House in Loreto.
    • After Mass, board the coach and leave for the small and beautiful Church and Convent of St. Damiano in Assisi. See the marvelous golden statue of Madonna that stands on top of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and The Porziuncola, the little chapel, located within.
    • Return to the hotel for dinner.
  7. Assisi

    • Breakfast, then leave for a full day in Assisi.
    • Celebrate Mass at the Papal Basilica of St. Francis, followed by a guided tour.
    • Visit the Basilica of St. Clare which stands facing on the other side of town.
    • Afterwards, enjoy some leisure time in the city center.
    • Return to the hotel and prepare for tonight’s dinner.
  8. Vatican City

    • This morning, board the coach and arrive in the Vatican City by the afternoon to visit St. Peter’s Basilica.
    • Continue to Rome to check into the hotel. Enjoy a special welcome dinner tonight!
  9. Rome

    • Today will be spent in Lourdes at the Sanctuary Shrine. We will see the Grotto, experience processions, and have the opportunity for private prayer.
    • This evening following dinner you may join in and experience the candlelight procession.
  10. Rome

    • After breakfast, leave for a full day tour in Rome.
    • A local guide will lead you through the Catacombs of Saint Priscilla. Visit the Basilica of St. Lawrence Outside the Walls, one of the seven pilgrimage churches in Rome. See the Scala Sancta, Holy Staircase. See the Basilica of Saint Mary Maggiore. This is the largest church in Rome dedicated to the Virgin Mary and houses a piece of Jesus’ crib. End the tour with a glimpse of one of the best-preserved Ancient Roman buildings, the Pantheon.
    • Return to the hotel and prepare for dinner.
  11. Rome

    • After breakfast, leave for the Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls, one of Rome’s most important ancient basilicas.
    • Some of the sites you will see today also include San Sebastian Outside the Walls, the Basilica of the Holy Cross of Jerusalem, and the Shrine of Our Lady of Divine Love.
    • Return to the hotel and prepare for tonight’s farewell dinner.
  12. Departure

    • After breakfast, transfer to the Rome airport for your flight home.
